Put plant-based food on LA Climate Week’s plate
Fundraising Goal: $20,000 USD
With your help, events directly organized by LA Climate Week and Plant Based Treaty will be 100% plant-based. Our Board Member Jane Velez Mitchell of Unchained TV and our dedicated Plant Based Treaty team from Animal Alliance Network have been appointed to the Steering Committee. We’ve agreed to host events with one condition: making it 100% plant-based. All we need now is your support to bring the event to life.
Did you know that one-third of greenhouse gas emissions come from the food we eat? Through LA Climate Week, we will show that plant-based food is not only delicious but can reduce food-related emissions by 75%.
Jane Velez Mitchell and organizers Samantha Lau and Cesar Asebedo from Animal Alliance Network have committed to deliver this project and organize seven exciting public events for LA Climate Week between Sept. 8 and 15.
Your contribution will directly fund events including: including West Hollywood Climate Town Hall with local policy makers, Sustainable Fashion Conference with a Fashion Show, Climate Art Gallery & Reception, Documentary Screening of Eating for Tomorrow with Q+A, La Cura Heal Mother Earth Musical Event, Community 5K Run and a Climate March for our Oceans. A portion will also fund educational materials to show thousands of people the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.
